The Elsinore building, one of the glass office buildings next to the E40 in Zaventem, is home to the Belgian branch of Sales Performance International. This global company operates in 50 countries and has 4 offices: Brussels, London, Shanghai and New York. Their core business is providing training and tools to companies who want to sell more and more efficiently.
It goes without saying that in such a company, communication must be extensive. In the SPI office in Brussels, two “phonebooths” were provided: two meeting rooms in which one could make phone calls in peace and quiet. Or so they thought... However, the large glass walls built around the rooms prevented this. What is good for the transparency of the office is not good for the confidentiality and comfort of conversations over the phone.
Fortunately, we can easily solve a reverberation problem in such small meeting rooms. We placed a COUSTpanel (wall panel) of 4 m² in each phonebooth. This was covered with two beautiful prints and voilà: now these rooms can really be used for what they are supposed to be used for: holding comfortable conversations/conference calls in peace and quiet, without that annoying reverberation.
