This family lives in a beautiful house in Jumet, but the large windows and the use of hard materials such as floor tiles and leather caused a disturbing echo.
They had already installed “acoustic” wallpaper, but the result was obviously negligible.
We reduced the reverberation time from 1 s to 0.8 s with a COUST ceiling above the dining room table. The lighting could be neatly recessed into the ceiling thanks to the fixblocks we had provided in advance.
In the living room, we opted for a COUSTbase on wheels for extra comfort. This can also be moved to the adjacent piano room when music is being played.
In Jumet, they are very satisfied with the result. The family's living space now has a pleasant, cozy atmosphere, and their daughter is also happy with the COUSTbase, which she can move when she plays the piano because the sound no longer travels in all directions.
