Dentist TDEL

The problem

Dental practice TDEL is housed in a beautiful detached house that has been fully renovated from top to bottom. Everything is finished to perfection with high-quality black and white materials. A wonderful working environment, also pleasant for patients to be treated in such a nice practice. The large glass panels in the treatment rooms look out onto a perfectly maintained garden.

Yet, there was one downside: high resonance in all rooms – an unpleasant side effect of using hard materials. Indeed: a lot of glass and stone resulting in very little sound absorption. And working in a space with bad acoustics causes irritation, fatigue, and a loss of concentration. Reason enough to bring in COUST Acoustics.

Our solution

In the first phase, the three treatment rooms and the narrow hallway were tackled using a combination of visible and virtually invisible solutions.
You really have to look closely to notice the white COUSTwalls above the sliding glass doors—they are the epitome of discretion! In addition, a splash of colour was introduced into the black-and-white treatment rooms by installing a stylish, printed COUSTpanel on each wall.
The disruptive acoustics in the hallway were resolved by installing a COUSTceiling along its entire length. It blends seamlessly with the sleek, minimalist interior, looking as though it has always been there.

Result

Dr. Theo is thrilled with the result, as he can now focus on his work without any noise distraction. From now on, patients can enjoy not only the beautiful aesthetics but also the "peace and quiet"—after all, a trip to the dentist brings more than enough stress for many of us.
